KLINGER® KGS/TK

The KLINGER KGS/TK is a specially designed rubber-steel gasket developed for plastic flanges according to European standards, with SDR 11, SDR 17, and SDR 33 as the most common dimensions. This gasket is ideal for use with plastic flanges and ensures a reliable and durable seal across various operating conditions.

The gasket features a flat shape at the sealing surface with an integrally molded spear tip along the inner diameter and a rectangular outer diameter. The spear tip enhances sealing security even at low contact pressures, creating an O-ring effect that maintains an effective seal under varying pressure levels. This design makes the KLINGER KGS/TK especially suited for applications where reliable sealing is essential, and where flange surfaces may be slightly damaged or non-parallel.

Materials and Application Field:

The KLINGER KGS/TK is available in both NBR and EPDM, each offering unique advantages. The NBR version provides resistance to aliphatic hydrocarbons, mineral oils, fats, and fuels, making it well-suited for media containing hydrocarbons and combustible gases. The EPDM version is highly resistant to chemicals and stable against ozone, UV radiation, and environmental factors, making it particularly suitable for drinking water applications with approvals such as WRAS and EN681-1.

Applications:

Suitable for a wide range of media, including water, liquids, air, acids, and bases. For specific chemical resistance, please refer to the resistance table.

The KLINGER KGS/TK is available in various sizes to match standard plastic flange dimensions, making it flexible and easy to install in both small and large systems. This versatility makes the KLINGER KGS/TK a reliable solution for diverse industrial applications.
